Theme for English B

This poem talk about black people and discrimination, that makes me think about what is society doing to us, it make us shallow, selfish and being more individualistic. Usually, physical features are more important than our feelings, thoughts or values.
The writer feel that he is different of the other people. But he said "As I learn from you, I guess you learn from me" so he was trying to explain that he has the same conditions and rights as anyone.
